I’ve finally finished the last four Regi types! It was hard to come up with golems that “represented” these types but I’m pretty proud of these. As always- these names are just what I’ve come up with but call them whatever you want. I don’t care too much for “Regifighting, Regidragon, Regibug, or Regifairy.” Anyway, these four types all represent some kind of creature type, not just an element. So I propose that these four Golems were created by Arceus to represent the physical types of animals that would populate the Earth. In my hypothetical game, there would also be four dungeons called the “Wild Dens” that would likewise represent the different kinds of Earthly creatures. At the center of each den is a small town that idolizes its respective creature type, and also different sets of exclusive TMs, clothes, and even variant pokemon to capture.

  • Regifight
    Pokedex Entry:
Regifight is made almost entirely of muscle and represents the beastly creatures of the Earth. It can lift extreme amounts of weight without feeling any fatigue.

    Description:
Regifight is an entity that represents the beastly creatures of the Earth (animals that have evolved to utilize their strength, speed and whit above all else). It is large, burly and incredibly thick, being able to break boulders with its bear hands and deadlift up to 100 times its own weight. A single punch from a Regifight has been known to topple buildings and send shockwaves through the air.

    In-Game Location:
Regifight is found in one of the four Wild Dens: The Den of Beasts. The Den of Beasts is a fairly open dungeon in a desertous/tropical area of the map that somewhat represents the Fertile Crescent. Within this area, the player will stumble upon the Den which seems to be made of ancient crumbling buildings and statues. Within the first stage of this dungeon, the player will be thrown into a somewhat difficult maze filled with various fighting-type pokemon. The first stage is also filled with several puzzles requiring some good critical thinking skills. The second stage of the dungeon is overgrown with a thick jungle and filled with much stronger fighting-type pokemon, and the player will notice people hiding about the map, stalking them, and challenging them to fights. These people are hunting the player, trying to keep them out of the area. The third stage of the dungeon introduces trials that the player will need significantly strong or physically large pokemon to complete. If the player completes these trials, they will reach the end of the dungeon, and exit into a small but lavish village. The chief of this village welcomes you in and calls off the hunters, saying that the player has proven their strength. She explains to the player that this village has been hidden for centuries but welcomes those who prove their worth and promise to keep it a secret. The village is populated by people who spend their days sparring and studying, keeping their minds and bodies sharp. There are many things to do in this village and exclusive items/fighting type variant pokemon to collect, including an opportunity to challenge the strongest pokemon in the village: Regifight.

  • Regidrake
    Pokedex Entry:
Regidrake is a representation of all monsterous creatures of the earth, having a body made up of primordial dragon parts. Its three heads are nothing but strong jaws that can tear meat apart in seconds.

    Description:
Regidrake is an entity that represents all monstrous creatures of the Earth, or those that have evolved to favor secondary monstrous abilities. Regidrake’s body is made of what seem to be primordial dragon parts, being covered in unbreakable scales, razor-sharp claws, and a hydra-like set of heads that seem serve as ears, smell receptors, gyroscopic coordinators, and exit points for powerful long-range attacks. The heads have some of the strongest jaws on the planet, and will not release prey when they clamp down. Ironically, these are not mouths, and Regidrake does not eat its prey. Researchers have come to the baffling conclusion that Regidrake does not possess internal organs, and is comprised entirely of monster meat, talons, bone, scales, etc. Scientists are very far from understanding the anatomy of the Regi Golems. Although Regidrake typically walks on its four legs, and can move at incredible speeds when doing so, two long wings can extend from its back and allow it to fly.

    In-Game Location:
Regidrake is found in one of the map’s four Wild Dens: The Den of Monsters. The Den of Monsters is build into a large craggly mountain. The base of the mountain has an entrance to the dungeon, leading into a cave teeming with pokemon. The first stage of the den is a maze comprising of several floors and checkpoints. Within the second stage of the den, the walls will be covered with some glowing crystals of varying colors, and all wild pokemon will be dragon-type. The second stage of the den is a set of simple puzzles that require you to have a team with several specific moves or skills that can be used in the overworld to progress. Rock formations within this part look shockingly like dragon pokemon. At the third stage, these puzzles will become considerably more difficult, and the wild pokemon will be much stronger. There are dragon statues littered throughout the dungeon, and some specific statues that have spaces that seem to be waiting for a missing component. After you solve each puzzle in this stage, you collect a glowing crystal that corresponds to an empty statue. When each statue is activated, the wall in the final room will open, revealing the exit of the dungeon. The player will exit the cave near the top of the mountain where they will find a small town of dragon-riders. The player can collect some exclusive items, moves and rare dragon-type variant pokemon. There are some quests to complete in this village, one of which is to seek out and capture a Regidrake: the most sought-after prize for every Dragon Rider in the town.

  • Regihive
    Pokedex Entry:

Regihive is an entity that represents bug life on Earth. Its body is made entirely out of silk, venom and bone.

    Description:
Regihive is an entity that represents all bug life on the Earth, or those that have evolved to weaponize abstract parts of their biology such as exoskeletons, webbing, venom and physical abhorrence. Regihive’s body is comprised almost entirely of impenetrable webbing, venom and bone. At first glance, it may seem like a very large insect hive, so travelers are advised to watch for its three long spindly legs.

    In-Game Location:
Regihive is found in one of the region’s four Wild Dens: The Den of Crawlers. This Den is an underground dungeon with an entrance that is merely an inconspicuous hole in the ground. After entering, the first stage of the dungeon is a large expanse of tunnels filled with bug-type pokemon and diglett. The maze is simple enough to navigate. Upon reaching the second stage of the dungeon, they will encounter incredibly large bug-type pokemon that run from the player, closing off certain tunnels and opening new ones. It is the player’s duty to learn the pattern that the pokemon are moving, and use that to navigate the maze. There are some puzzles at this stage, but not too many besides the maze itself. The third stage of the maze is filled with bridges and ladders made out of spiderwebs. The player encounters some NPCs this far down that tell them to capture one of the giant bugs seen wandering around the den, and ride it to navigate the webs. Once the player has a giant bug to ride on, they can make it to the center of the den where they will find a small tropical biome with a small village inside. The villagers are bug-themed through and through, and offer you several new missions and exclusive items, bug-type variants, etc. Near the town is a cave seemingly made of moss and spiderwebs. The player must be riding their bug to enter the cave, but at the center of it, they will encounter Regihive.

  • Regifae
    Pokedex Entry:
Regifae is an entity that represents magical creatures on earth, and is made entirely of light energy. It is said that being in its presence causes one to feel a strong euphoria.

    Description:
Regifae is a tangible manifestation of fairy-type magical energy, and generally takes the form of fluttering ribbons and golden rings. However, the golden parts of its body have been known to change shape and form into wings. The behaviour of a Regifae is highly unpredictable, and while it’s highly probably that it is simply a playful or mischievous creature, it has an equal chance of being either malevolent or benevolent. Old folktales dictate that it is good luck if a Regifae passes you by or gives you a gift, you are in grave danger if it invites you into the woods to play.

    In-Game Location:
Regifae is found in one of the regions four Wild Dens: The Den of Fairies. The Den of Fairies is a dungeon which is a dark but beautiful forest covered in a thick fog. Navigation of the den is difficult, and the player is consistently stalked by giggling wispy sprites that represent pokemon such as Togepi, Cleffa, Etc. However, these fairies will not interact with the player. The player will find a fairy ring deep in the forest, guarded by a talking grumpy fairy-type pokemon. It will ask they player a riddle, and then open the fairy ring for them, leading them to the second stage of the dungeon. This stage seems similar enough to the first, simply being a deeper part of the forest that was previously inaccessible. At the beginning of the stage, the troll will tell the player another riddle, introducing their next task. The fairy wisps will begin toying with the player more at this stage. These fairies can be helpful and lead the player where they need to go, but they are unpredictable and will sometimes lead them astray or teleport them to different locations on the map. It is the player’s duty to figure out the wisps’ patterns and solve the puzzle, at which point the talking pokemon will congratulate the player and move them to the final stage. This stage is a dense forest made out of giant mushrooms. There are three shrines that the player needs to activate by deciphering three more riddles- each requires a fairy-type pokemon in some capacity. Once all three are activated, the talking pokemon will ask the player one final question, and if it is answered correctly, the player will be granted access through the final Fairy ring. The player then exits into a small town populated by elf-like people who are thrilled to meet a real human trainer. The people of this town are goofy and energetic, offering you exclusive items, clothes, etc., and offering some neat quests. Around the town are some pink grassy areas where the player can catch fairy-variants, but the map does not extend too far. One of these grasslands has an empty pedestal at its center. If the player places something of value on the shrine, and then explores the grass, they will encounter a Regifae.

Regifight reminds me of the Berserkers from Xcom 2. Once I noticed that, Regifight immediately appeared even more terrifying to me. You know, I always depicted the Regis as slow moving, because they are golems. Slow, but unstoppable. With the berserker-association, the "slow moving" was gone and the mental image of a Regi suddenly charging at you, crashing trough everything in its path, is kind of unsettling.

I really like your designs, keep up the awesome work!
