So in short this is the first time Haywire met Rainbow Dash and how she was more focused on RD's mane than anything else the first couple of minutes.
Silver was worried her mom would get angry with Haywire's straight forwardness and lack of personal boundries. But to her surprise RD just laughed and later basked in the young pony's admiration just like old times, bragging about how awesome she indeed is.
Also this kinda shows some more of how I imagine older Rainbow Dash. She is very short and has more feathers all over her body than Silver does. She also started wearing cool pilot jackets and shades (not pictured), cause accesories make you look cool or something.
Been a long time since I drew my own characters it feels like but it was fun. I hope you guys like it too!

Its nostly how i draw forelegs. I imagined she also tensed up and sort of unwillingly flexed as one does when one get startled. So that probably made her look more muscular than she is

I just had a thought, when Rainbow was pregnant with Silver, what did the public think about it? Since I imagine a Wonderbolts who isn’t married having a child with no father being named would be pretty big news.

also everything is on point, the anatomy, the faded background, their expressions, it's super lovely! Just mwah. however I did only notice now... Where are all the cootie marks? xD I mean if Haywire has any. I don't think she does.

I really like the feathers you added around Rainbow Dash's tail. This really shows off the bird effect. It's little details like that which make the picture even better, at least to me.

I saw the leaked generation 5 pictures a while ago and one of the Rainbow Dash concepts has this exact same mane style and when I saw it I was like HAY WAIT A SECOND.
Anyway you should get a lawyer and sue.

I love the creativity in making Haywire look as if she has her mother's mane. I don't know if it was intended, but it makes for great symbolic storytelling.
