what is a ranger's duty? it is to save and protect anyone in the wilds around Ivywood. in this case it's an injured Axew in a little area Michael refers to as the Dragon grounds located somewhere between Ivywood's forests and mountain ((thinking of turning it into an rp center in the future so the name may change feel free to suggest in the comments or via note.)) it is similar unova's nature preserve in that rare and endangered pokemon are here but its primary inhabitants are dragon types who favor the rocky sparse terrain and cavern networks. capturing pokemon here is impossible with out special permission since there are special machines set up in the area cause pokeballs capture settings to fail even master balls unless proper adjustments are enacted. so the area acts as a safe haven. however some unsavory types have been known to set traps to try catch these rare pokemon by other means so it is a rangers job to patrol the area to and find these traps and save any pokemon caught in the horrible devices. unfortunately the pokemon here are very hostile to outsiders and will not hesitate to attack anyone they do not know to defend there home and young.
Thankfully Michael is not the only ranger Kella counts to and makes it her duty to defend and protect her partner while he tries to help the scared and angry axe drake family.
fun little continuity moment in this Kella pre-evo to salemence still has a little paint from her costume on her side because comic takes place shortly after and they didn't have time to get it off all the way but when she is about to evolves it burns off.
