"What are you doing?"

She startled Varric so much that poor dwarf somehow manage to fell from occupied chair with a little squeal escaping his mouth.
He rapidly looked back and when he recognized her he cleared his throat loudly, pretending to be offended.

"..what the nug, Horny!? You scared the shit out of me!"

Kiz'ara Adaar tried with all her strength to keep from laughing out loud. Meanwhile, the dwarf picked himself up off the floor and put something behind his back - which attracted the attention of the qunari.

Varric clearly wanted to keep something from her sight.

"Again..." her words were calm, but tone full of laughter that she still tried to hide "What are you doing here? You know, the last time you were messing with his stuff he actually came to me and said, quote: If Master Tethras want to ask me about something, he can just ask me directly. End of quote."
"So - if Chuckles is sooo directly - why he doesn't turn to ME then,hm?"
"Varric..."
He let out a exaggerated sigh and gave to the qunari scroll of parchment which he was hiding behind his back.
"Alriiight, alright!.. Mmm ... I was looking for inspiration for a new book, okay? Well, yeah .. inspiration, that's it. Buuuuut, instead I ran into this, look! Another drawing!"
In the first impulse the Inquisitor wanted to refuse - she doesn't want to violate someone's privacy. But curiosity won and qunari looked at a piece of parchment.

"... interesting. Oh! Is it a symbol of the Inquisition? ..a little different though, reversed... with.. wait a moment, is this a face?... Elven I guess. Oh, and on the other side I can recognize dwarven and human face as well. And qunari - this one stands out a bit, don't you think? Interesting, representations of four races gathering around Inquisition's symbol." Kiz'ara gasp a little "And me again? If I didn't know better..."qunari let her words unfinished, then giggled and continued more seriously"I knew that mark of my hand fascinates him but didn't know that his curiosity reach this level ... interesting."

Varric chuckled and pointed something on the parchment.

"Yeah, and see what is behind you right here. Reminds me of Kirkwall somehow, but... I bet he just thinks that you need help of some sort." The dwarf was clearly amused, and made no secret of it. "You want to talk about it?"
She snorted and smacked him lightly on the head - which wasn't a difficult task given the difference in their heights.

"Alright, put it back before Solas returns - wherever he went. Or I'll ask Bull to test the trebuchet..."
Dwarf blinked, then grinned wryly.
"It's a metaphor?"

Inquisitor finally could not stand, and burst out laughing loudly.
She shook her head in amusement.
"Varric .."
"All right, all right!" The dwarf winked at her cheerfully "Besides, you know that Bianca is jealous. I will not risk her wrath."
She nodded and turned to leave but after a few steps Kiz'ara stopped and looked at the dwarf.

"Just one thing... " Horny ", really? That's the best you can do?"

Varric chuckled.
"I know, I know... a little too much. But you have to admit, it is catchy!"

Just silly idea that came up to me. Those above are actually from my sketchbook - I was drawing some stupid things while waiting for loading location of DA;I (or while talking by phone etc).
I've used black pen, so no eraser was used at all. In digital I added white-ish pencil and texture (by )

What do u think guys? Do u wan't to see more of "Solas's sketchbook?" Ot I should stop that nonsense immediately? Let me know! Your feedback is ALWAYS a nice kick to my Wen (I mean, artistic's Muse )

P.S. It's sooo late and my brain shut down about 2 hours ago. So please forgive me my mistakes - especially in this little fanfiction above; english isn't my native language
