Have you considered using tape to get a sharp clean line on the boarder?

Yeah! hahaha But I didn't have tape when I painted this one, so I cleared the border with a sharp metal! (I did it after the photo :T)

Lol yeah I've been there. My one island i had to do without tape. Sadly the paint stained the card because it was an older land card with some rough spots.
