i dont rlly like fluttershys parents canon personalities so i changed them

also they arent mr and mrs shy theyre just called that bc theyre known for being fluttershys parents iasdshdsau

but anyways- cloud chaser used to be a military pone; specifically, a royal guard back in his youngin days, serving directly under celestia herself. he was one of the toughest guards, even breifly training shining armor before his sudden retirement.

dahlia is an ex wonderbolt, nicknamed whirlwind, and she is basically a mix of rainbow and lightning dust (and was one of the secret inspos for lightning!) and she was the constant rival of fellow wonderbolt, wind rider. fun fact, the two despise each other and will fight. on. sight. dont tempt her.

they met in the hospital! dahlia did a trick gone wrong and hurt her wing along with a concussion, cloudy was there after being hit when the castle was quickly under attack by rouge ponies. they were placed in a room, and, on connecting to the fact they wanted to get back into the action, formed a friendship. cloudy was stern and hardworking, dahlia was fun loving and thrill seeking and incredibly relaxed. slowly, their friendship turned romantic, and they got hitched, per dahlias idea.

at first, they werent sure if they wanted to start a family, but surprise surprise, they were expecting, and decided to face it head on. they slowed down their work in favor of their quiet daughter, fluttershy, to offer her support. dahlia was the first to retire when fluttershy was young (they could with their high ranking positions) after a particularly dangerous stunt and she didnt want to risk herself anymore since she was a mother now. she instead runs a flower shop, but if she was ever offered her place back in the 'bolts, shed take it (dont get her wrong, she doesnt regret her choice on retiring!)

cloudy didnt retire until their second child, zephyr, was seventeen. unlike dahlia, though, he was gettin older and zephyr was acting out. he knew he didnt focus on his son like he did for his daughter, but he figured theyd be fine? no, he wasnt as sharp as he one was. time to settle down again, full time. now he spends his time collecting clouds, wood working and falling asleep on the chair after watching five minutes of a tv show
