In Valinor? He's resurrected here, then?
I wonder... he got killed because he betrayed his people because of his lust for Idril. But would he have been killed in either case if he refused to give away the location of Gondolin? His part mustn't have been easy. I mean... besides being cursed by his own father and his mother killed by his father, half accidentally.
Out of all the Elven ladies, why was he obsessed over a princess who showed no interest over him at all?

I believe at some point Maeglin earned the right to go to Valinor. I don't see why Morgoth would let him live if he didn't give away Gondolin's location. Unfortunately he was naïve enough to believe Morgoth's promises and screwed up things. Maybe it was love at first sight with Idril, altough only from his part. You know how those feelings work in Arda. He could have been so great... Sadly he decided to follow his dark side in the end. Maybe if Aredhel lived, Gondolin wouldn't have been betrayed.

He needn't have earned the "right" to go to Valinor if he died: all the Children of Iluvatar, whether good or evil, go to Mandos if and when they die. The difference is that Elves stay until being reembodied (these terms being decided on a case-by-case basis). I imagine for his betrayal Maeglin would've been stuck there a long, long time, if indeed he ever earned the right to be reembodied again.
Truly is a tragic character though, to want someone who not only doesn't want you back, but said relationship would be utterly frowned upon even if she did. That and being shown up in every single way by a mere Man.
