I didn't think of it as a fashion portrait at all for the exact same reason. I do think of it as an incredible HUMAN portrait, though! The branch placement is pretty cool. It seems almost like it's striking him in the chest, and his fingers sort of echo the branches. idk I think it's awesome and totally worth the DD.
