Introducing Lustre Shine

The most infamous and renowned top quality student in Celestia's Magic University! He's got a Doctorate in Spell-crafting (aiming for a phd) a masters in magic and spells history, a bachelors in unicorn magic history and a *ahem a certificate in alternative magic sources. However this infamous student has suddenly dissipeared? And students, faculty and staff are left confused as the once prized student has seemingly dropped of the face of the planet, maybe even the university. Rumor's circulate around the campus like a swarm of breezies, did he become ill, did one of Lustre's many controversial spells back fire on him, did Princess Celestial really (strike)force(/strike) assert Lustre to take an impromptu vacation? Whatever the reason is he's gone. But don't worry ya'll.... he's in good hooves.

Bio Born to a mid upper-level family Lustre had a pretty normal early childhood, that is until he started portraying exceptional levels of magical abilites. Both Lustre's parents were educators in their own right so they recognized his talents pretty quickly and by Preschool Lustre was already attending a specialized school and classes. And so as a result Lustre's whole life has revolved around education. Its all he's ever known and its all that ever been praised of him. Now its not to say Lustre himself didn't enjoy schooling he loved learning, found studying soothing and enjoyed being respected and by other students annnd... other adults.

All this accumulated into Lustre developing quite an ego. He believed that education was the highest honor a unicorn could get. (note how pegasi and earth ponies are not even present in his worldview) and as such it intentionally left a bit of anxiety in Lustre because after he graduates.....what else was there to achieve for? This unintentional consequence left Lustre staying in college for years like 9 years actually. It wasn't until one family holiday that his parents finally broached him on the subject of graduating that Lustre was left dumbstruck like what else was there besides college? What else could he achieve? These last few month sent Lustre ruminating on what to do until he realized something. He had been studying and studying all these spells to perform and master but mastering a spell wasn't a celebrated achievement to the outside world no, for him to be remembered to the outside world he had to completely create a new spell something nopony has ever thought before. And thanks to a little entry level alternative magic course Lustre knew exactly what he wanted to do.

He was gonna attempt to create a whole new type of unicorn magic! By harnessing the wendigos frost and encasing it in his magic he could tie it to his horn core and as a result create a whole new field of magic casting! Think of all the new type of spells, the new classes, the grant he would recieve to study it and the fame of this new discovery!

Sadly nothing of that sort ever happened after because many, many, many, sleepless nights that lead up to the day that when Lustre cast the spell it... something happened. Don't get me wrong Lustre was successfull in being able to synthetize the frost magic of wendigos with his own unicorn magic, however it seems that end result exploded forever changing Lustre as he had somehow created a sort of self-made curse unlike any other.

Needless to say can Twilight possibly...warm him up?
