A small fun redesign for Zecora.

I honestly really like Zecora but I don't like how the show just pigeonholes her into a rhymey, never ending patient and helper to twilight's troubles with no agency or backstory of her own. It's no coincidence that after Twilight ascends to a alicorn and then princess that Zecora's input into the show becomes zilch.

So I decided to retcon and flesh out her story a little.

Zecora comes from the country of Zebrica (close to saddle arabia) she comes from a small tribe that was largely isolated from the other more industrialized Zebra cities and empires. Her family were sorta like gypsy's in that they travel Zebrica all year round. Zecornian's are considered to the powerful healers and the best skilled craftsmen in all of Zebrica. Dipped in mysticism and power the Zecornians are both praised and feared by the public often being scapegoated for anysort of bad luck that falls upon the city they visit. Zecora's family had a saying "we were "other" no matter where we went. So it was easy to blame others then it is to blame your own"

Zecora’s tribe prides itself on keeping a close nit family and their worldly prowess they are both open to new innovations and magic as their harsh sticklers for tradition and making sure no outside force can change or break them family apart.

Zecora was the odd one out of her tribe as her curiosity knew no bounds. She constantly pushed for the answers and its those curiosities that pushed her against the bindings of her family. Zecora kept pushing and pulling until she strayed too far and something..... horrible happened. Zecora ran away from her family believing she was exiled.

This brash decision forced her to travel to places she’d never met or seen before, farther then coasts of saddle arabia even.

And after many years of traveling Zecora decides to settle in ponyville in the everfree forest.

Present Zecora- even though she was exiled, very much holds on to the traditions of her family. Always learning magic and potions, never getting too close to the other ponies, keeping her distance (though the ponies hove somehow managed to worm their way into her heart) and speaking in rhymes in the presence of other creatures. (a rule her tribe has that you could only speak normally in front of family).

However after many years Zecora starts to loosen up persay. Letting her hair fall down instead of gelling it every day, loosening up her rhymes (at least around ponies she trusts) and letting her dominant and curious nature peek out more.
