From Yatterman (1977 and with a new version in 2008). By far, the most famous villains from the various Time Bokan series. All the villain trios from the series look and act very similar, but these ones will always be the best remembered ones. Names: Doronjo (leader), Tonzura (big guy) and Boyacky (tech guy).They're also playable characters in Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

did you see this episode of 2008 Yatterman? It's where the Dorombo Gang somehow get help from OTHER Time Bokan villians, however the only one from the first series appears to be Majo/Lucienda. apparently the smart guys and the muscle men get along together but the beautiful females don't.

I found a english DUB of the Time Bokan OVA so this will be the only time you'll hear the Dorombo Gang's voices in english. Even the Time Bokan villians are in it and their names are "Margot"/Majo, "Walter"/Walther, and Glocky/Grocky... so there's no "Captain Arrow" here! I noticed Dokurobi's voice in the dub is supposed to be deep and scary sounding but he doesn't end his sentances with a "bei", especially when he punishes the Dorombo gang aftering winning the race-bei! lol

Well the dubbers comes up with weird names like in ge ge ge no Kitaro's bilingual english manga they call ittan momen "rollo cloth" and nurikabe "wally wall".
Yeah I wonder why would they rename Grocky "Captain Arrow" just because he worked with the scientist that invented the Time Bokan but turned out to be a spy for Lucienda Skullduggery.
don't get me started with Gatchaman, to this day I dunno whenever to use the names Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets/ or G-force. I am aware the Dorombo gang once tangled with Gatchaman in a Time Bokan OVA.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I'm not sure.... She's supposed to resemble a dominatrix (moreso in the live-action film) and they don't exactly make good heroines.

Mmmm.... Ninjette from "Empowered" wears a two-piece costume, but otherwise it fits. And there's also Misaki from "Ghost Talker Daydream", though she IS a dominatrix. Hope that helps.

And also in appearence the heroines look really innocent and have a relatively 'plain' physcial appearence whereas the villainesses look much more attractive and have some sort of 'sex appeal' (e.g. a curvy figure etc.)
So it's basically a case of 'Cute = Hero, Sexy = Villain' - Which is something i don't like, I think stereotypes are overrated!
That's one of the main reasons why so many people like villains better than heroes.
