Hehe.. I just recently got it. It's not very different from the older versions, i think. So it doesn't really matter which version you use.
It's not exactly "hard" using a mouse, it just takes wayy longer than it would with a tablet.. Since it's kind of hard to get any straight lines.. And ofcourse there's no pressure sensitivity.. The pen tool helps alot though. (:
