It holds many good memories, I have other pictures of it for you, in time.

(Insert clever quote about how good things take time)

I am sure you will be seeing this place again, and may that time come soon for you.

Wasn't sure if I should have been the first to comment, but now I'm not so way~

This is a wonderful image and I like how you have portrayed the brilliant colours. I want to use this definitely, maybe sometime over summer I can build the website, and it'll be cool. We'll see, hope you are well. x

Thank you, I was hoping to use some more images, of architecture in both cities to compile something resembling what I imagine it to be like. Perhaps of other places too; seeing as I don't yet have the skill to draw what I see this is how I can get across how I felt it was described, and where my imagination filled in the gaps.

That sounds like a great undertaking, and I highly suggest you attempt that. There's some nice rooftops in both cities and beyond, and I wonder how you would blend them, please let me know how this goes..

A random thought, we could mix the photography with an illustration closer to the forebround which would further add depth to the piece, eventually? Please keep me informed as to your progress with this.

I will, it is something that really interests me, but as usual it isn't what I should be working on.

A mixed media project sounds really interesting, I'd like to give that a try sometime.

That just makes me think that what you are doing now isn't your true calling, and your heart seems to know that. We'll see how this year goes, maybe more options will open up but for now you're stationed where you ought to be. Do the best you can and come out with a result, then see where the ground lies.

Again and always thank you.
The feeling of being in the wrong place is difficult to shake off, knowing every moment that I am dispassionate towards the work required of me makes enthusiasm for it hard to summon.

Lead by my heart, but reigned by my mind; I was never meant to be one of rigerous logic, trying to apply myself to staying within the lines and keeping the margins clear is the opposite of what I want to be doing.
If the challenge was to think outside the cubical storage device, to be encouraged to doodle in the corners, life for me would take on a new colour. As it is, I see a lot of monochromatic guidlines; how can one let a light shine in a colourless world when even white light is made of every colour?

I think you're looking at life then, the wrong way. I don't think your course expects you to remain reigned.. look at that person who gave that lecture. She said ideas and stuff were cool but they needed a structure in which to thrive. It's like letting a little child loose in a big open playpark, if you don't give them some fences and a nice gate then they're most likely going to get hit by the nearest fast moving vehicle. Something along those lines.

Don't let you ideas take a back seat, or you'll feel like you're being held bac. Explore both and give yourself the creative freedom to explore that which interests you and maybe it'll link up to some of the things in your course you're not so sure of. That way the course will hold more appeal. You're in an amazing place, if only you look over your fears to see that. Remaining positive is difficult, but the end of the world doesn't rest on your shoulders.

Please don't live your life to others expectations and see what works for you. Second chances should be used carefully y'know. But they're there.

I read this again, thank you. I'm sorry I never reply right away, but words like these deserve the time and thought to sink in.

Yes, I remember "Managing Creativity" at first it sounded like a kind of sacrilege, but I understand. I can see from my own case study that to mature artistically we first need protective boundaries, like the sapling; at first shielded from the elements and then, when the young tree stands tall, the shelter becomes restrictive and is removed allowing further natural growth.
