When I think of Queen Novo in my story lines I picture her back story being a disaster version of the little mermaid where she becomes queen of the hippogriffs with the help of the pearl.
But her mate the King of the hippogriffs dies due to natural causes less then a year after Princess Skystar is born causing Queen Novo to become queen even though she didn't expect or want to.
