Description It all started in August of 1995; my family and I went to Orlando, Florida. We thought this would be a nice vacation but, it didn't turn out as planned for when we got there, it was raining... a lot. The reason for this was that Tropical Storm Jerry was also in Orlando, and it stayed for most of our vacation, making vacation life difficult. During this time, my family and I were on the road heading for Universal Studios Theme Park. It was a nice place to visit and have fun. They have nice places to shop and great rides. We went to the "Alfred Hitchcock Museum", where they showed a movie and a stage presentation. My dad enjoyed it. Later we went to "Earthquake the Ride", and "Jaws the Ride". When people tell you "Caution: you may get wet", they mean it. Then it started to rain, but we were prepared with disposable raincoats. After it stopped raining, we went to "Back to the Future the Ride" and "E.T. the ride", when it started to rain again. We went into a shop and bought a poncho for the rain, later we saw an animal show with a chimpanzee, a horse, an orangutan, some dogs, and a bird. I liked the show, then we returned to our hotel.

The next day, we went to the Disney MGM Studios Theme Park. We thought we'd have a nice time, but when we got there, it was raining... again. Everywhere we went it was raining due to T.S. Jerry. If we ignored the rain, this theme part was actually kind of nice. First we went to "The Great Movie Ride" and then the Animation Studio, where they showed us a short movie with Robin Williams as one of the lost boys of Peter Pan. Then we went to a special effects studio where effects are done in movies like "Honey, I shrunk the Kids" or T.V. shows like "Sing me a Story." Later, we went to "The Tower of Terror"; where they put us in an elevator and dropped up from 13 floors up. (Very scary) Then, we went to the "Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular" where they had a stunt show and a battle.

These places were fun, but they would have been more fun if it had stopped raining. Our trip to the airport was intense! It was good and bad at the same time. Good - because the place was like a mall. It was huge, with stores and fast food places everywhere. Bad - because we had to wait for our plane for 6 hours. We then waited another hour because the plane was late. We finally returned to Puerto Rico around midnight. My grandmother came to pick us up and we arrived home a little past 1 a.m.

I must admit, I liked it over there, but there is no place like home.
