You catch a flash of red as you gaze across the room. Chinese girl. Very pretty. Great posture. You try your luck and introduce yourself.
She throws a half-smile your way. "Lieutenant Fa Mulan, Chinese Army. I'm on leave."

"Oh." Your eyes widen in surprise. "You, uh, have any interesting stories?"
She turns and fully faces you. "Oh, yes. I remember this one time I dressed up as a man and joined the army to save my crippled father from the draft, saved my platoon from a charging force of a thousand enemy soldiers, and prevented the assassination of the Chinese president."
"That's...cool," you stammer out. "I, uh...I helped my dad move his furniture once."
She chuckles. "Excuse me." She walks away and embraces a tall, well-built Chinese man and leaves the club with him. You take another drink.
