yw mate, if u get any kind of texture like stone, walltexture or whatsoever u find a good one.
Do some blending with the texture to make it look more better that just my thought, also most others do it, i did the same aswell!

That looks so great. Very awsome. I think you should go weirdo and have a somewhat of a red background, with another figure, like the one created, but more of a circular type robot creature.

That render is tight, but not fond of teh typo and like you said with the bg....
Maybe use a different stock... something that would more be suited to a foresty sort of feel
