That mmx PSP-game is a remake of MMX1... well, even better than a remake XD That clip I took the screenshot from takes place (storyline, not gamewise, you'll get it as a bonus after beating the game) before Sigma officially becomes a Maverick.

Sigma was a top class Commander. He didn't become Maverick until he fought with Zero (As seen in a flashback in X4) and contracted the virus from him.

Yup, it's actually pretty kewl aside from the minor different looks (I guess it's because of the anime-style) and the fact the story is somewhat off from the original storyline
