Krystal homeworld was reference in Star Fox Zero, a nod from the writers meaning they're aware of it, but won't go there yet at all in Starfox Zero.
I've read somewhere in reddit that the director of Star Fox Zero are aware of Krystal and wants her to be part of sequel to this reboot, she could be in it, it just gotta prove this franchise can be successful before anything can happen.

I love how they both look so... tender around Marcus. Their expressions are wonderful. There's a sense of genuine happiness to the piece. And Marcus, well, he actually looks like a baby. Chubby-ish features, curious expression, keeping his limbs curled up, the works.
