Stunning colours, love that shade of rusty orange-red. I think it's very beautiful how you can see the tiny white veins in the leaf and how it looks like it could crumble if you touched it. I get the idea of beauty in death from looking at pictures of autumn leaves, the leaves are dying but they are so fragile and wonderful.

Great job with this, especially with the choice to crop this way. Avoiding the temptation to show the whole leaf makes for a stronger impact and avoids the "yeah yeah we've seen Canada stuff before" reaction
