Seems much closer to the book, in how Mowgli confronted Khan.

Amazing work, but... I don't like Mowgli.

Nice coloring! The glow effects look great in this. The usage of warm colors works well for the scene being referenced and for the entry overall
Good luck on the contest.

This looks like it could be an illustration from a Disney storybook! I love your lighting effects, especially in Shere Khan's eyes. It really helps sell the sense of danger!

You must have had a lot of patience for a background like that. I don't think I would have. It all comes together just gorgeously. That's all I can say.

Wow, Mowgli Vs. Shere Khan. That's a powerful scene from the movie. It shows in the background, the emotions and the body gestures. I love how the fire in both the background and foreground crank up the emotional depth Mowgli feels towards Shere Khan here; it's as if this scene is telling us that Mowgli has had enough of trying to run away from this tiger and decides to take matter into his own hands, and that righteous fury he feels towards Shere Khan, symbolized by the fire, is scaring the tiger, and for the first time, Shere Khan is afraid. Afraid of what a boy can do when he demonstrates courage. The glow in the tiger's eyes no longer show cunning; they show fear and a desperate act to save himself from this mere man cub's spirit. So yeah, you did a fine job capturing the drama of the scene. Well done!
Fun fact: I almost thought Shere Khan was displaying pyrokinesis when I first saw this LOL.
