+EDIT+Wow... so many favorites. I want to thank everyone that's commented and faved... because really, I don't have people looking at my stuff very often. Now that school's started, I don't have time to thank everyone personally, but I hope you know that it means something to me!

I have to say, one of my favorite characters from Harry Potter is Lupin because... well... he's so nice (most times). It was depressing when
*SPOILER*
he and Tonks dies. Who's going to take care of TEDDY? Kay, so this drawing's kind of honoring them... The other reason why I drew them was because I wasn't satisfied with the movie interpretation of Lupin (or Tonks, but not as much).
Oh, and here's something interesting I found on wikipedia:
"Patronus (plural patroni) was part of the social customs of Ancient Rome, a social term that referred to the senior party in one of several social relationships.
It could refer to the protector, sponsor, or benefactor of a cliens from the lower classes or from outside Rome in a relationship called clientela. This social institution was ancient, extending into Rome's earliest society. Indeed, the Romans believed it was invented by Romulus. In the earliest periods, patricians were patrons of plebian citizens."

From what I've heard, Andromeda (Nymphadora's mom, Teddy's grandmother) takes care of Teddy until he comes of age. So, he wasn't completely abandoned when Lupin and Tonks died! It was still very sad though. Especially since Lupin was the last of the Marauders alive.

Interesting.... I guess things turned out ok for Teddy. I mean, in the epilogue he seemed like he was well adjusted, although i read through the 7th book so quickly and it's been so long that now everything's kind of a blur!

Amazing artwork! I love how you captured the two of them and the wolf patronus. And I agree, they could have done more with the movie interpretations. If you go to the deleted scenes of Deathly Hallows Part 2, there's an amazing extended scene with them (I really wish they kept it). But this, this is just one of those pictures that's too cool for words!

Lupin's my favorite character too -.-.....so uncool....I was kinda annoyed that his patronus was never described (I'm not finished with the series yet, so I might be wrong here).....I figured that it would be a wolf, but I was kinda hoping it would be more unexpected (Not to insult your beautiful art of course; I absolutely appreciate this on behalf of my favorite character XD)

Actually, if you were to subscribe to Pottermore, J.K. revealed that Lupin's Patronus is a wolf, because wolves are normally docile, and because they are nonviolent and family-oriented. Unfortunately, Lupin, because he's embarrassed of his condition, makes a point to conceal that.

It's been a while since I read the HP books, but I don't remember if they mention his patronus...at all. If you've read the 6th book, this picture would make more sense

I agree with you, the movie version of Lupin is absolutely disappointing.. I didn't like Tonks as well, but not wo much.

I really like the way you drew Lupin, his hair is great as well as his expression. The patronus really cements the whole piece - it's unique and really adds to the entire picture. This really stands out as one of my very favorite pieces of Lupin/Tonks fanart, and there is a lot of it out there. Great job!

i'll be honest the first time i saw this one, i didn't like it, but know that i look over it again, i sort of adore it! the color harmony, characterzation, the effect the patronus has on the image, brilliantly executed.

I definately agreed that the movie interpretations of them sucked... But the picture is very nice. I love how you drew the patronus... the whole thing, actually. With all the sketchy lines and that. I've always loved that kind of texture.
