i wanted it to look like her eyes were adjusting to the change of light but it looks a bit like she's rolling her eyes. she's just so tired of these tunnelsRelated content

I can tell that her eyes are adjusting, but I think you may have gotten her eyes mixed up. 
(Cat's eyes dilate in low light (like the caves) in an attempt to see better, meaning that her pupils would have been large while in the darkness of the cave, and then returned to their slit-like appearance once in better light/outside.)
