Description
The final sun was setting on the war-torn kingdom of Lion's Glade. Three weary travelers were walking across the ravaged landscape in hopes of finding a place to rest for the night. They trudged along in a single file line, dragging their feet more and more with every step. Their clothes were caked with dirt, and their gear was stuffed untidily into small backpacks that hung limply from their shoulders. As the two moons peeked up from above the glistening mountain range, the man in front pointed towards a copse of trees not far ahead. The group made their way to the small cluster, removed their belongings, and sat down for the first time in days.

The moons bathed the wasteland in an eerie yellow glow. Lucas, the young man who pointed out their resting spot, looked through tired eyes at the surrounding area. He brushed his hair away from his face and quickly glanced at his group, making sure they were still real. He had lost so much in past few days, he wouldn't risk losing his friends.

Before the Siege, Lucas was working as a guard directly under the King's command. He was trained to survive in harsh conditions, and able to use any weapon effectively. While he was tough on the inside, he was soft on the outside. He had chocolate brown hair that dropped to his shoulders and a soft smile that never seemed to vanish. His pale green eyes seemed out of place on his dirty face. He shifted his gaze from the sky to his companions. Tristan was poking around looking for firewood; Guin had already fallen asleep.
