The ripples and tones in the sand looks really effective as well
The border really suits this too, its simple, and that's good as it doesnt take too much away from the photo itself...

and have an sugestion.... try 2 crop tha pics so that more sky is visible.... 'bout 2/3 of picspace.... I think it would give more feeling of space and still the desert would B prerogative... after all desert is all about space

This packs an even more ominous punch than Dunes II The dune itself wants to invite me into the shot with its progressively lighter shades, but the clouds have something different on their mind. Sweet.
