Description This picture was taken with my old pentax optio w10, which is an ok camera for simple plain portraits, but I really like it because of it's macro feature. I took this really close to the eye, it was actually hard because the flash was constantly blinding me xD
It could be better if it didn't turn out with the reflection but I'm happy with the details and definition

Eyes are beautifull in all creatures !

I was trying to get a picture like this using macro but i still couldnt get the camera to focus, how do you make it work?

I have a Canon sx30is if that helps

Hi! Well, I'm not really familiar with Canon cameras but what works for me is: I select macro mode, and manual focus, then I select the smallest focus distance available in my camera which is approximately 0,4 inches (according to the converter this is equivalent to the european 1cm). Than I put the camera near the eye (the closest I can) and use flash. Your Canon has great zoom so keep trying

I worked on the lightning and constrast to enhance the eye because the flash light "damaged" the results i wanted but that's all, i don't think it's heavily edited
