I'll likely do something on this someday, but only in a very, very -very!- distant future xP

Very well done. Don't know why, but I feel compelled to give size estimates for T-rex.

12-15 meters long

5-7 meters tall

7-12 tons

Vitor-Silva In reply to RexFan684 [2013-12-14 03:50:02 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, but I would say that 15 m is over estimated :/
The larger specimen is Sue (12,3 m), the others are too fragmentary to give an estimative. The 15 m one, wich got popular, come from just a phalanx, a toe bone that may vary in size among specimens.

Well, I've always believed T-rex to average 12-13 meters and 7-9 tons because many specimens(including Sue) are that size. However, some like C. Rex, F. Rex, and UCMP 118742 do suggest T-rex had a much higher max size.

I would feel truly honored if you would allow me to use this in a video I am making about the Dinosaurs who were the Apex Predators of their age. Its a non-profit slide show montage video, made for fun and advent viewing to everyone. If no, I will respect that. If yes however, then I will guarantee that your name will be in the credits and there will be a link back to your DA page in the description box so that everyone can know that it is work. What do you think?

JPGuchiha In reply to Jaromir83 [2017-10-28 19:16:26 +0000 UTC]

Is there any real evidence that says an adult T-rex had feathers?

maybe they have not looked like birds, but they definitively sounded like ones www.youtube.com/watch?time_con…

I guess you mean Sinosauropteryx. Because we never found a feather on a Tyrannosaurus, so we can't know its color (if it really had a feathery coat at the adulthood).
