Nice linear stippling. Is there such a term? Have I said that before?
Very realistic, do you do any tracing for your pictures?

No. Tbh sometimes I took a picture of drawing in progress and compared it on computer with reference to see where am I off..
I was also using a grid fewtimes... I don't know...
All of this was more about shading than lines, I was reading some books about figure drawing lately.
Linear stippling, I think I know what you mean, yes I tried blending first, but it looked weird, i think artist use the term overblended, so I added all those lines to give it more live...
Dude what is that Duelist about, I think I'm still not able to comprehend your work, why donkey?
Thank you for your comments

Your facial proportions always look very good, was just wondering how you go about it.
I couldn't find much info on overblending (unless you mean you blended too much), but I think I see what you did. Looks like you laid down some smudge type blending then used the lines on top to emphasize the shading and form. And add some style too! Great result.

The Duelist - Well, I watched an animal rescue show on television. A donkey had slipped into a ditch on the side of the road. He struggled for hours to escape and almost drowned in the mud. Finally, an emergency veterinary crew pulled him out, but they weren't sure if he was going to survive. I watched the whole show to find out, but they never gave an update about his fate. So, my original painting was supposed to be the donkey rising from the mud victorious, sort of a phoenix from the ashes metaphor, as my own ending to the show.
That picture wasn't working for me. So, I changed things around a bit and developed a story about the donkey fighting off a fly that had been harassing him. I thought of his tail as a sword and thought the title would be kind of funny :]

Ok, haha, the duelist, of course, I get it now
Well the fly seems oddly interested in his tail, like it's not a sword at all. This should be really called "the harasment" and not "The duelist".  I guess I love your creative process, like that deamon of sleep apnea, you're still trying to draw your complex thoughts or in this case to put a whole donkey story into one painting. Yeah definitely love it <3
