You're welcome, BjΓΆrn!
Everything is going pretty bad, my friend. We are in the middle of one of the worst times, politically, economically and socially speaking. Yet, everyone is trying to works as hard as possible to get a descent life.
Well, not everyone, of course there is always some people who take advantage in bad times to get rich, speculating with basic products, etc.

I really hope That the situation will be better for the people in Venezuela.
Very few oil price experts believe That the international oil price will recover to the level Venezuela need, within a 1-2 year horizon, it can take much longer time than 2 years . I wonder why Venezuela have such extreme inflation (world's highest).

Thanks a lot, my friend.
Maybe more than 2, since the current strategies are almost ridiculous at every level.
The reason is due to several factors. In one hand, you have a government limiting and controlling foreign investment. The private sector is hanged by the amazing amount of 3 different (Dollar) exchange controls. In the other hand, the internal production of non-related oil products is almost nonexistent.Β  Many finished goods/products an raw materials/producer goods, came by importing them. so the importing machine is getting malfunctioning because the complicated procedures for obtaining dollars, which by the way are very expensive. So, no matter how much the government rise the salaries, there will no benefict on that if what you are going to buy with your new salary will cost you 2 times the price it cost some months ago. To all of that, you have to add the incredible amount of trashy people who takes advantage by buying basic goods/products at regulated prices and selling them 3 times or more than its real value in pseudo-black markets that are well known by the authorities.

You are welcome, my friend. Keep in mind that it is just the point of view of an ordinary person, so there are some technical facts that are missing. And yes, it is very problematic and unfortunately, things are going to get worse.

The good thing is that crises are what usually leads to change, both for the worse and for the better. Have price controls worked anywhere? I guess not. We have our own economic dramas here in Europe, but luckily not in Sweden , europe have deflationary problems.

As far as I have seen, price controls tend to get thing worst. I really think that governments should be watching the private sector to punish any abuse over prices, but that should be do very carefully.
