My dad is a huge fan of Don Quijote.... I drew this as a father's day gift for his office...about 5 or 6 hours... HB's and pastels

awesome, i love this, fits with a movie i saw, but that was a musical version i really got to read the book, but i want to read it in spanish and can't find that in any book store here.

that's what i hear, so i really want it, but the last tiem i tried reading books in english that were translated they didn't sound as good, Eva Luna, the Tale of Genji, Beowulf, they don't sound as great in english

I think it really captures his goofy, off-the-wall character.

I just don't quite see it as being a realistic portrait, mostly because of the way his body is angled.

well, i respect you opinion, and maybe its not a traditional portrait, but i tried to capture some of his surrealistic world into the picture, it wouldn't be don quijote without the exagerated features...

That is true... he was an exagerrated character. He's pretty awesome though. I think you captured the character very well, actually... it's just that I don't know if I would call it a portrait.
