Personality:
| Charming/ Seductive | Intelligent | Brave | Courteous | Liar | Thief | Cold | Heartless | Manipulative and Dark |
Charming
If anything, this guy is a real romancer. He does his best to charm does he comes across during his travels and often because of his formal, warm, and polite 'prince-like' attitude he usually suceeds. He never really falls in love himself and often ends up breaking their hearts when he moves on to the next place he travels to.
Intelligent
Just as suggested, Kiro had a mind that works incredibly fast which is helpful with calculating his strategy. He often tires of being surrounded by the simple-minded.
Brave
Needless to say it takes some courage to put your life on the line for a shiny piece of jewellery and an adrenaline rush.
Courteous
A gentleman facade makes Kiro seem like the most kind and caring stag out there with a silver tongue that could fool anyone.
There isnt a moment he will let this facade crack so any characters meeting him wouldnt know it was an act. Its taken years of practice so unless youre character is a mind reader or Kiro doesn't see a potential benefit in being kind to them, they would never know the truth.
Liar
Yes, Kiro is actually a pathological liar. Everything he says to does and others, though seemingly sincere, is all a lie to keep up his facade and make it appear as if he really feels the things he says. He uses his lies as a barrier to keep people from hating him because most of the time he convinces even himself of the lies he tells, wishing they were true sometimes though he would never admit it. Combined with his kind exterior, his ability to convince himself it is the truth when he is telling a lie also aids in preventing victims from blaming him for stealing. Surely such a kind stag would never do suh a thing? B]
Thief
Being a renegade has proved to be difficult for Kiro and life events have caused him to steal from almost everyone he meets. He will charm others into believing he is pure and sincere with a good heart so no one will ever suspect him and keep a close eye on their valuables around him. That is, untill the next morning when all their possessions are long gone along with the 'oh so kind stranger', He will often lurk in the shadows just to see their reactions though.
Callous
Beneath his warm smile, his heart feels empty. His mannerisms and charms are mostly pre-rehearsed lines and body-language he has used for such a long time it has become like second-nature to him. In the presence of others he is like an a robot, trying to please those around him, but as soon as he is alone he becomes cold and withdrawn.
Heartless
Kiro feels no emotions. If he does it's usually anger or pride and it never lasts for longer than a few minutes. Empathy? he has none. Love? He doesn't even think it's possible. He cares about himself and only slightly for those he calls family but only barely.
Manipulative and Dark
This stag knows most anything there is to know about manipulating others to his advantage. There is a dark side to him he hides that make the rest of his personality seem meek but he reserves that for the most twisted corners of his mind.
Appearance:
One scar across his right eye, light coat, mane brought forward to cover his eye etc etc
History:
Fawn
-Father is a witch with possession (medium) strain and ??? (advanced) strain.
-Mother was a herbalist with hexes and curses (advanced) strain and learnt necromancy (basic) strain.
When Kiro was born, his father was already living on the outskirts with his paleface mate. In the years leading up to his birth Kona was beginning to feel unjustly ostracized with a deep rooted hatred for the king. He himself was a dark coated, muscly witch but because of his snappy temper towards even does could only get a paleface daughter of mother Uir as a mate. However, Meiyra had seen potential in the stag and his harsh ways in her own plan. Later, they birthed a pale son.
He knew that tradition was to abandon the pale colts, but it was already unlikely that Kona would ever be able to produce another fawn. During the months of her pregnancy, Meiyra had already made herself an elaborate plan to use the future fawn and mate to raise herself and Kona to power. She was dead set on this scheme, and despite her better judgement to cast Kiro aside, decided to keep him under their protection.
Although, the stag felt no love for the fawn and only saw protecting him as a means to an end. Meiyra had convinced him of that much whilst herself playing the part of the innocent mother towards her fawn. Luckily for Kona, he had aided a wondering Glenmore stag in his acceptance into the herd and thereby made a pact through heavy manipulation. The stag agreed to aid Kona, whenever he had time, in growing food and protecting his paleface son. The witch had, after all, given the Glenmore all the pointers in passing the trials, vouched for him to the king, and saved his life from a wolf when he first appeared on the outskirts of the herd. In his available time not performing his duties to the herd, the dark coated Glenmore had even grown Kona and his son a rather large, dense, and well hidden den. Everything was ready for their plan to be set into motion.
The following years were spent in the secluded outskirts, rarely leaving their own den. Kona had become borderline obsessed with the planning, and therefore almost never allowed his son to leave his or the Glenmore’s side. He trained him harshly, day in day out. Though some passers by noticed the treatment given to the fawn, Kiro quickly learnt his pale coat had cursed him with being undeserving of defense against his father from others.
At the age of four, Kiro finally overheard his father talking to his best friend, a deceitful raider, about how he fit into his father’s grand scheme. Kona had conditioned his son to hate the king, convincing him that he would be the only true leader of Blackwood. His father told him that it was the king who insisted in this harsh treatment of the pale for survival, and that Kiro should see every beating as coming from him. Kona knew, that one day Kiro would snap and he would use that day wisely. For when Kiro would finally reflect the abuse in an attack towards the King, his father would stop the fight when the King was somewhat weakened and demand to challenge him for his position.
What Kiro didn’t know, however, was that his mother was the one who had manipulated his father into the plan all along.
His only reason to stay after overhearing part of the truth was his love for his mother. Perhaps if he could be stronger, he would execute his father’s plan and, if his mother became queen, she would also be given safety.
That all fell apart once Kiro’s mother died, outnumbered by predators when she gathered herbs. She had been accompanied by the Glenmore stag for protection, but both of them were sorely outnumbered. With this, came Kiro’s decision to leave.
As his father decided to venture to the King to tell of his mother’s passing, Kiro fled with the window of opportunity. He was due to turn five very soon, and wasn’t sure he would survive the escape. At this point, anything was better than being a pawn and dying to provide his father with success. He hadn’t been present to protect his mother himself, and Kiro resented Kona for it as well as the entire herd for ostracizing him for the colour of his coat.
Although the journey was long and full of danger, somehow Kiro managed to survive. He had ventured into the territory he knew his Glenmorian protector had come from. There, he met two renegade Glenmores who saw use in him and his magic. They took him under their wing in exchange for protection and growing food for them all. The couple turned out to be thieves, and taught him their ways to use him in their plans.
Youngster
On his first thieving mission alone as a buck, Kiro was sent to the outskirts of the Glenmore herd to steal a charm from a doe the couple had been observing. Having learnt the power of manipulation through his father, Kiro preferred to use this skill before resorting to his illusion magic inherited from a distant relative. However, he found himself charmed by the doe and against his instincts she became a reluctant friend. To aid him, she had given her trinket to him if he agreed to visit the commoner whenever he was allowed freedom. She had confided in him that she was a tainted member of the herd, but their meeting were to remain a secret. Though he was reluctant at first, he agreed to become her mate and asked her to escape her herd for him. She was highly skilled in magic and he would no longer need support of the thieving couple.
Due to escape the next day, Kiro had been followed and spied on by his partners in crime. The stag threatened to murder the commoner doe that evening if Kiro planned to escape them. The dawn on the next day Lynne was left standing on her own for the stag that would never come. He had intentionally broken her heart without explanation so she would hate him, and not come looking for him.
Once again, he had become a pawn.
Young Adult
When Kiro turned 13 years of age, the stag of the couple who had used him for so many years was declining in health and strength. He was 26 and going through waves of illness. One day Kiro struck like the assassin his father had implanted in his mind. Murdering the older stag whilst the couple were apart. Making his escapade once again Kiro found a cave of his own to live in Glenmore. There was just one more thing he needed to do. Take revenge and give his father what he deserved. He returned to Blackwood that year and ended his father's life for everything he had done.
He now spends his days travelling, charming, stealing, and trading goods with individuals that cross his path. Having learnt the charming gentleman facade so well, no one would ever suspect the dark intentions behind the mask. His eventful life has caused him to be callous and emotionless on the inside, but a charming and caring flirt on the exterior. A high functioning sociopath with no hope in anything and a profuse lack of trust in anyone.
