Nightwing. The first kid sidekick to make it on his own and become his own hero.
I really like this piece.
Vision – Dick is swinging through the buildings with his arms outreached. This remains very true to his circus upbringing. He is meant to soar. It also tells a lot about what kind of a person he is.
Originality – Although there have been many images of heroes swinging from the rooftops of buildings this one does things differently. Nightwing is gliding in between an alleyway rather then swinging in the traditional sense. The could also be a throwback to his trapeze roots.
Technique – This guy clearly knows how to use Acrylic paints well. The paints blend well together, and there is little to no slop. There are no visible brush strokes which signifies a thorough understanding of how to mix paint and precise control of the brush.
Impact – This painting invokes a strong emotional impact. First the perspective of the drawing is very unique. It is a one point perspective piece, but it seems so much more complicated then that. Dick's pose is also well done. It is an awkward pose for many people to nail, but Vividfury got it.
Dick's Nightwing costume is also very well done. It looks like an actual suit as opposed to "painted on skin", like so many comic artists draw. There is a nice texture on his blue "V" too. The moon also gives a nice glow to the image. Unlike Bruce, Dick is not all grim and dark. He is a natural leader with the charisma of Superman and the skills and training of Bruce. He glides through the air here as he glides through life: confidently and and he has a blast doing it.

Nightwing is one of the most underrated superheroes out there. This is an amazing likeness to him; good work all around!
