I gather inspiration from lots of sources really, and then see how I can use that in my own piece. One thing that you might find useful is to never let both hands and arms hang down and remain idle. Always have one doing something which adds to the context of the piece.

You have depicted her in such a badass and powerful way that makes her seem a force to be reckoned with. The perspective also helps to increase that feeling, almost as if she was about to roundhouse kick me in the nudges. Simply epic.
About the bust size, what can I say. I don't really have a standard, one day she'll be flat, the next she'll sport a serious rack. Still, your depiction looks perfect to me.
Aaand about the pattern, yeah, well, you already know me, close to OCD when it comes to details... although this one I swear I've seen it before.

Yeah, you're definitely right. Somebody let slip the idea that she fits as a Pokemon trainer, and frankly, look at her name: voLTSURGE. And she likes electricity! Trust me when I say that even I didn't see that coming.
