Since he is a scientist that was a high-ranking member of his company, I was thinking maybe they might view their science as a religion and maybe add some religious motifs to his lab outfit. And give him more cybernetics since he is a cyborg.

Dr. Zimmer was part of a corporation specializing in medical science, being quite a respected biologist among his peers. Though his ambition got the best of him when he led a strike force to an abandoned facility that was deemed "holy grounds" to collect ancient specimens of parasites that he theorized could help with the evolution of mankind and steer it in the right direction from notes he collected. Sadly the expedition was a failure that led to the deaths of many corporate soldiers and assets, thus leading to his exile. But he did acquire his specimens, only a small handful. Losing everything, he had to start over but didn't let his medical knowledge go to waste. With some loyalists that followed him, he opened a hospital out in the wastelands that offers medical services and protection with its militia. Though this is really a guise for his true goal, his work on the parasite with his small lab underneath the hospital itself.
