Note that this is an animated brush, which means, in this case, that the dapple stamp will automatically rotate through 4 angles as you paint, so you don't need to set a 'random angle' every time!This is the brush I made and use for dapples and it's super handy to have~
I meant to post this for y'all sooner...
HOW TO GET THIS IN GIMP:
There is a file called 'Dapples (animated) - Viz.gih' in the zip file, this is the brush and all you need. Go to 'Users/gimp2.8/brushes' and place it in there, restart GIMP if it was open, and it should appear as a brush you can choose from.
HOW TO USE THIS IN GIMP:
Since it rotates, all you need to do is adjust the size and sort of scribble - I normally go in diagonal rows, and try to 'connect' the bottom of the row I just did to teh top of the one I'm painting, if that makes sense. Use the undo button if you ed up with an awkward gap or too much overlay. After that I'll go back and erase the edges with a faded brush and maybe do a soft gaussian blur.
Let me know if you have trouble opening it - I (think I fully) uninstalled my winRAR which might have caused problems for those of you who don't have it. Which should be no one. Everyone should have winRAR. winRAR is a beautiful program. It will open any file extension.

I can't find the path... Not coming up in any searches... Not sure what the difference would be, as I am on a Mac. I'll see if a Google search brings any suggestions up.

Did you figure it out? In Windows for eaxmple, the path I would put it in from Windows Explorer is: C:\Users\Vizseryn\.gimp-2.8\brushes

Okay, I've figured out how to install brushes, but it's only working for ones I've created. Is it okay if I try and copy your brush and put it into GIMP that way? I'll credit you whenever I upload something.

Anyway you can go into a more detailed process of how to add this brush into gimp? I have NEVER added or changed a brush before but I'd really like to use this to make designs and the such easier.

Just put the brush .gih file in the location I described, that's it!
If you need help finding the folders, you can search your computer for .gimp-2.8 and you should be able to jump directly there.
