You did an absolutely amazing job capturing this picture.
Although, I'm curious - how long / how many shots does it take to capture a closeup image of insects? Usually when I get withing a few meters of them, they fly/hop/roll away. XD

The easiest way is to get up early in the morning (before sunrise) and go looking for them... It helps a lot if you know the habits on the insect you plan to photograph. Equipment: a tripod, it is a must for macro photography, later in the day for support for my handheld shots I use a pistol grip from Novoflex, flash, softboxes...
