Description Character Description

Tania Safitri is a 17 years old Advanced Tactical Gear (ATG) pilot of TNI-AU (Indonesian Air Force) who works for the 11th Air Squadron.
She is very kind and cheerful, also the youngest member of her team.

She once had an old brother, Muhammad Aldien, one of the TNI-AU top aces whom she loved so much. However, Aldien was declared MIA in the 2034 Indo-Oceanian War. As she lost her only remaining family member, she then decided joining the ATG army program to follow Aldien's path.

As an unexperienced ATG user at the beginning, she had problems to control and fly her unit. But she already knew that she must work hard to protect her own nation, especially when tensions against Neo Republic of China (NRC) and United States of the New America (USNA) are increasing.

Tania is a student of Bandung Senior High School 3. Her hobbies are cooking and drawing cute things.

Haha well I'm certainly not 155. Fun fact, neither one of my parents are over 170, but my brother is 185 and I'm about 177. How about you?
Average for girls in Sweden is around 167, boys 180. I wasn't the tallest girl in my class though, I was about average there. ^^

The Flanker is a Fly-by-wire aircraft that's likely to have a good electronic or digital flight control system.

If an aircraft was designed to be inherently unstable, I believe it's designers would've included computers to aid the pilot. Thus the machine flies like any other stable aircraft.

I think what ~vjptox means by Tania having a hard time flying her unit is that perhaps her lack of experience in using the unit itself...

Well unless she's flying it with the FCS and the AoA limiters off...

I know the Flankers are unstable, I was just pointing out it's a funny analogy how the character struggles to control the Su-27 rig and how the Su-27's flight systems struggle to keep the Su-27 itself in the air, albeit for different reasons

Well, it's not hard to fly (relatively), it's just that it's very unstable, and the computers have to keep up with the plane's constant swaying to give a good control to the pilot

I can't help butting in but, the Flanker is probably one of the easier jets to fly, considering it was the second combat aircraft to exclusively use a Fly-by-wire system (which probably comes with an electronic Flight Control System..) the 1st one being the F-16..

The newer variants are likely to be even more straight forward to fly due to the advent of computers, semiconductor technologies, automatic trimming and other advancements.. ^

So I think Tania having a hard time flying is just because she's new to the equipment, and that she will master her unit as time goes by ^^

Sorry for that TL;DR armchair 3 cents hahaha

Hahaha, well actually I was just thinking she's another amateur by using it at the first time
But her unit is equipped by advanced avionics system, indeed. However, maybe I've made a mistake here by telling Sukhoi is her starter unit... Actually she also needs to take around 4000+ flight hours first on the F-16 before she could move to that one, just like our standard regulations in TNI-AU
Heheh, even though I'm not sure if I could add further realistic details to her unit, I'll try to explain how her machine works in my next deviation Of course, I'll keep in mind about those Flanker facts
