This is beautiful! I love the texture you gave it, it makes this look like an old painting. I love the lighting too. Great job!

Wow~~~ I really love this! You did a wonderful job! It does look like a renaissance art piece and those are my favorite styles. I reall ylove the paintings from that era!

I don't think I can add much to the already stated comments, but simply express my pleasure at another beautifully rendered piece

WONDERFUL job of creating that slightly flat look to your model, that so many of the wonderful Renaissance painters used!!! Even the color of her face is perfect--as if you'd sampled colors from an old painting, and repainted her skin, using those colors...just beautifully done!!! (And I LOVE the halo you've given her!!!)

Love the concept, as well...she reminds me a bit of Rossetti's "Beata Beatrix"... Well done!

The name though implies a more Byzantine approach. Nonetheless it is a great work

Thank you! I should have done something better with the rocks, but smudging them like I did the cave wall and the model just looked bad. Oh well.

Your comments make me feel pretty good about it, all in all.

To be honest--I'd actually love to see another version of this--with a much closer shot of the model--maybe full body--maybe 3/4--maybe head and shoulders--but really focusing on her, with the background being made even more painterly--and maybe us seeing some of the light rays, falling on her face... (Er--just can't get that darn "Beata Beatrix" out of my head--sorry!!! )

Sometimes a single image has several different ways it can go...and this feels like one of them, to me...feels like there's more story to tell--more art to make! (Not that you'll usually catch ME revisiting work I've finished--but I see no reason that should stop me from suggesting it to others! )

LOL! I know, I'm the same way. Once it's posted, I'm done with it, only occasionally tweaking something minor. However I do take all critiques and suggestions and put them toward my future works. So it is never wasted advice!

Hehe--yeah...who wants to revisit something you're already DONE with, for Pete's Sake?!

I do love it when people point out things to me that I've never noticed, or offer helpful suggestions or advice...but like you, it's more useful info for future projects, rather than something I'll keep revising. It's the creation that's fun--not the endless revising!
