You should do a Picture commemorating The ANZAC sacrifice at Gallipoli. That Battle was very important to Russia’s fate. Had they won, Lenin could not have returned.

They fought bravely against the backdrop of the times. They choose to fight in order to defend the traditional way of life. They are fearless, but their struggle is on the road of failure.
The picture gives a deep and heroic feeling,Let people feel the process of their failure。
But from the perspective of the Bolshevik, it may be another feeling.

Pictures proving the thousand words theory right again. The lack of glory and grimace of the forced march seems a lesson so easily forgotten in information overload era. You have great talent. I wish all the best.

Amazing work... I wish I were able to see the original version, it must be impressive!
I love the symbolism, too... the dark sky, blood-red barbed wires, and bodies covered in ice...
I don't know much about that part of Russian history (well, I don't know much about Russian history, in general ^^), apart from the Red Partisan's Song and its White counterpart... All we learned at school or later was heavily biased, because the people teaching about the Russian Revolution were always clearly on one side, highlighting why the other side was wrong and why its claims were illegitimate, and neglecting some of the atrocities commited by the side they wanted to defend...
Anyway, thank you for making me want to learn more about he history of your country! And again, great painting...

Thank you very much for your hearted respond! It's important for me!
The Volunteer Golgotha - this is another name of this event.
In the bulk of the white movement - the movement of those who have not changed the oath. In fact, they defended the way of life that has developed historically and was natural for our people. Did they understand the hopelessness of their situation? Probably yes.
Therefore, from the historical and spiritual point of view, their choice is truly a personal Golgotha of each participant.
100th anniversary of the Russian tragedy. I think... Any fratricidal war - is a nullified heroism.
This is courage and selflessness in the war against own reflection. And my next picture is exactly about it - vladimir-kireev.deviantart.com…

Thank you! This name is in the Russian-speaking environment (Добровольческая Голгофа). I don't know the original source. Perhaps from the Russian poet (in emigration) Nikolai Turoverov - participant of the Ice March. From the poem "Dream": "Опять знакомый путь Голгофы далекой юности моей."("... Again the familiar path of Golgotha of my distant youth.")

Thank you very much for the explanations!
Your other painting is impressive too, so full of sadness... War only brings death and destruction. And it takes so long to repair what has been shattered...
