Description
In Siberia, winter came earlier than we could imagine. This artwork is dedicated to another long cold time of the year. Winter can be beautiful too, but I am already looking forward to new summer! I really like the soft and quiet feeling. We get the odd morning like this in Ontario. It's wet and snowy and foggy all at once. It's beautiful very early in the day, before anyone is around to break the silence and put footsteps in the snow.

I am just now finding this epitome of tranquility. One can hear the hush of newly fallen snow.
The soft quiet of the snow and lights remind me of the night time snow scenes of Japanese watercolorists Terauchi and G. Yokouchi.

When I look at this picture, I can just imagine myself being there. It's as if the snow has just fallen, and there's absolutely no sound to be heard. Eerie, beautiful, and haunting.
