Akira: "When I get out of this hospital, I want to go to America with you and watch the ball drop on New Years Eve. I'm looking forward to it~."
Satoshi: ("... But... You won't live long enough to see it...")

S: ("All I ever wanted to do was to protect you... I was willing to sacrifice everything I had, everything I was, to be there for you, to care for you, to hold you close and never let go... Because even when I struggled to admit it, I needed you too. But now I... there isn't anything I can do to save you. I can't even bring up the courage to tell you you're dying... I'm not that strong... I'm not that strong.....")
"(Please... forgive me if I wait too long to tell you the truth. I just can't bring myself to see you cry again... I'm so sorry...)"

I'm thinking about using this as a story concept. Basically the question is 'What would you say to the love of your life, your soulmate, your everything, if you found out s/he was going to die before getting the chance to fulfill any of his life dreams?'
- Akira suffers from a severe illness with minor symptoms, and the doctors report to Satoshi that the person he loves most only has so much time to live. Satoshi then asks them not to tell Akira yet, because he wanted to be able to tell him himself, so he could be there when he knows. But now several days have gone by and Satoshi still struggles to let the words out, screaming at himself to hurry and do it, but his throat shuts closed whenever he tries. Spending several days holding back his tears of guilt and sorrow, he struggles to find the words, any words, that will hopefully tell the truth gently and not crush Akira's heart before it stops on its own.

Aaaaaand now to procrastinate on this and get back to Two-Faced Father instead~. XD
