Rouge busts into Eggmanβs lair and tries to steal the Chaos Emeralds heβs collected, but despite her spy skills, sheβs detected and Metal Sonic captures her, bringing her before the evil doctor.
Eggman isnβt happy with Rouge trying to steal his emeralds and so introduces her to his latest creation, the Egg-Spiral. Powered by one of the Chaos Emeralds to hypnotise the victim to bow to his will. Should he recognise their strengths, he makes them part of the Egg Legion, if not, Roboticized.
He hypnotises Rouge and decides to make her a member of his Egg Legion in Cloverβs department, knowing her spy skills can come in useful.

Rouge: Aha, there's the Chaos Emeralds right there, and with no one guarding them. I have no idea what Eggman has them for, but whatever it is, I cannot let that. Glad I was able to sneak up there for that; otherwise, Shadow and Omega will try to go all out on Eggman's robots there.
*She sneaks up and grabs the Chaos Emeralds while flying off to avoid getting caught*

(Metal Sonic doesnβt answer as he makes her fly back to the Chaos Vault and slams her on the wall)
