IAMBACKYESYES with a farmer's tan like no other. There was a point when I was Jersey Shore orange and seriously concerned for my health. Oh and bug bites got those. Somewhere over 53.

Uhh. 21 days. Two for travel, three for a recreational trip, two days off, and 14 for working.
Work day = get up at 6 am, start work at 7 am, work until roughly 3:30 pm (we ended early a little under half the time because it got over 100F). For work we basically. Manual labor, lol. They drove 50lbs wooden posts to the trailhead and we carried them in and dug holes and put the posts in as trail markers. They used an ATV to drive 12-27 ft long timbers so we could build bridges with them. In 14 days we put in 28-30 posts and 6 bridges.
Day 1: Arrive + icebreakers
Days 2-8: Work
Day 9: Day off (went into town, went to see mt. rushmore, went swimming)
Days 10-15: Work
Day 16: Technically still work day, but we were working for Maintenance = physical labor. This day we worked for Interpretation and we chased elk to try to count how many were in a certain herd. We ended up just chasing the man whose job it actually was to chase elk. o.x 50-year old man hikes /fast/.
Days 17-20: 17 was technically a day off, then 18, 19, 20 were our rec trip, but we just combined the two to drive to Wyoming and camp in Bighorn National Forest and hike around a lot to alpine lakes et all.
Day 21: Go home + die
I brought home a dirty hard hat, a sweaty bandana, and two sticks.

Holy shizz. That sounds so intense... and global... intensely global. I am sufficiently awed.

ikr. it was so intenseee. ughghfgs. a bunch of hikers thanked us and we quipped about workloads with the fence crew (they carry like 75lbs posts so they win but pffh they're not high school kids are they) and. yeah. xD
