Yet, as I lay here in the gentle embrace of nightly wings
My will cannot but let go of that vivance I so fiercely grasp onto.
And as my thoughts fade and memories dwindle,
I resign to once more merge with the cosmic spindle.
This is a piece I have been wanting to do ever since I started learning digital art. It is based on a very old image I saw as a kid, and always hoped to improve on to fit my own visualisation of it. After searching EVERYWHERE for the name of the original artist for the reference image, it seems that it belonged to a now deactivated Deviant Art account by the name of SanMandara. The mask is meant to resemble a bird and lend to his raven motif, whilst seeming like angel wings from afar.
