Yep! Samoyeds are known for always looking like they're smiling... and generally being very happy and playful dogs. He got a ton of attention that day, so he was very pleased.

The props themselves look really great, Im jealous but I really feel like I should try to do the same.

My friends have been joking about my dog cosplaying as Amaterasu as he is a white dog wolf hybrid.

Yep, he is. Good breed for cosplay - totally friendly, and looks like a fluffy wolf.

A white wolf-dog hybrid sounds awesome. And I saw the photos on your deviantart - he's beautiful, and would make a great Amaterasu.

Just make sure he's okay with strangers if you actually take him to a con. It gets a *lot* of attention (like so ), and people *will* try to pet without asking permission. :/

Anyway, if you want to see how I made the costume, there are a bunch of details here .

Yeah, his behaviour in a crowd is what Im unsure about, he is a people friendly dog, but a big crowd might be bad. I'll have to train him and try to make him accustomed to them if I do the cosplay for him.
