Wow, It looks great with those large shards on its back! I feel a reason they decided to redesign spines, is how would a rider be able to ride them? Poor Heather!

I think depending on the way it bends it's neck/body the spines could lay flatter? But I agree that's most likely why they decided to make them MUCH smaller in the end!
