Description Tablet drawing practice - A4 sized Trust. Made in two days.

I originally didn't mean to submit this piece. It was made using support lines copied from the reference photo and I sort of consider these lines "cheating".
However, this drawing do say something about how my work has improved since I got here. That's why I decided to submit it.

You can see the yellow support lines to the left of this montage.

I like it alot..and like seeing an artist's processes.
Not cheating at all with the lines..the Masters often would outright trace...so guidlines are not a big deal, as well as being acceptable and can help with proportions.
I actually like the second phase version a bit more..seems something went a bit awry in the shoulder area, and shading and placement between the second and thrid..the face is exquisite, and defintiely something to be proud of. I like the simplicity used for her classic beauty.

Love this image. I love how it has the feel of evolving and growing in each frame. Only thing is, the line seperating the frames seems too strict, too straight, whereas the other lines are all sketchy. However, this is a totally awesome deviation. I'll be sure to check the rest of your gallery.

i agree on the seperating lines. i was a bit quick when i converted it from layers to a side by side presentation. those things tend to happen late at night, while longing for sleep.

Wow...You've improved a lot on detail. The highlights and shading all look great and despite the fact that you used reference lines, it seems you have a better sense of facial structure and anatomy, generally speaking. I do notice that her foremost eye looks too rounded at the edge...but I know you're your own harshest critic.

great job, tommy. i really like all the colors, and how you show all the steps leading up to the final. and as always, the shading and coloring have that classic voltball flare. great work. methinks i'll add this one to my not very long list of favorites.

Damn. This is cool.

You make me jealous Tommy.

I'd type up a more intelligent post, but it's roughly 10 AM here, and I'm still in a sleepy stupor.

I was looking at the other picture. Reference lines or no reference lines. I still believe you did an excellent job. A+
