I'm currently knitting a (Prime) Ratchet-themed scarf. About half-way done.

Actually I have read it and that was the one I was thinking about. At least going back to All Hail Megatron #4, Prowl describes Ironhide as feeding Optimus ideas. And in RID #16, he was the one to actually go up at punch Prowl at the head of DevaProwl to get through to Prowl.
Now, that doesn't mean I don't like the idea or the art. I just cannot see Ironhide as the one to be knitting.

Alright, I guess my idea was that the hardest and toughest guys can have a soft side.
If you punch ppl all day long it can be just nice to sit down and do something harmless, innocent, creating something nice instead of smashing things.
This is not only about Ironhide, I think there are actually many people like this.
But yeah, I won't argue with you either, everybody can have their headcanons c:
