it's sad that we live in a society where everybody gets pissed off over little things like "stim" lol
I'm on the spectrum, although not that hardcore (I just have a lot of difficulty with looking people in the eye... i never win staring contests) and touch is a HUge thing for me like i will touch EVERYTHING that exists because of this uncontrollable urge to feel the texture of anything around me
anyways im not gonna be all like "THAT IS O U R W O R D " with 'stim' frankly if anybody else who is generally normal has the same kinda problems as i do or has an itch for something i see no point in berating them over it! I'm just glad it makes you more relaxed (SOMETIMES I DO WANNA SNAP MY TABLET PEN IN HALF TBH I HAVE FOUGHT THE URGE)
I got so mad over the whole "you can NOT use fidget spinners or fidget cubes UNLESS YOU ARE ADHD OR AUTISTIC !!! IT'S NOT FOR YOU!!"
Like.. cmon man why are we going backwards with this fuckin gatekeeping shit?? let people have fun??? sorry this turned into a rant lol

Do people actually? I sorta just wanted to play it safe, I don't like making people mad or anything.
Oh gosh, I didn't know that! Hah, I dunno if crushing my pen makes me more relaxed. Shaking my legs seems to, maybe. It feels weird not to so I think it does? There are alot of little hand touches and things that I do that I'll do without thinking and then notice that I'm doing it and then just keep doing it. I'm not sure what that it but I don't mind it. Haha yeah gatekeeping scares me a bit. Kinda why i walk on alot of eggshells and 'stay in my lane'. Also why I don't self diagnose because I didn't want anyone saying "well, you're not reeeeally [insert thing here] you can't do this or that, that's our thing"
It's okay, the rant is valid. Someone had to say it, y'know? I sure-as-shit wasn't gonna pfft

with the self diagnosis thing, honestly its kinda weird
I went to the therapist, and they arent honestly that open about diagnosing adults because "the only reason to diagnose people with autism is so that children will be able to have easier times in school (as if being an adult with autism doesnt make your life harder? what?
Eventually i was like "well i just want to know" so she essentially just pulled out a book and it was stupid questions like "do you ___ or do you have trouble with ___ and if you have more than 5 of these 9 things you are on the spectrum like
it's straight up almost like a shitty website test but with an actual therapist?? it is really weird I didn't feel much better but at least i have some closure

Oh wow, I'm glad you got that atleast! (that's really shitty of them btw like being an adult is like being a child on Hard mode with way more responsibilities and shit to do and?? I think knowing this would benefit you greatly why wouldn't be that disclosed) I wonder if all the shitty websites I used to do tests were accurate. Haha once I did a test for ADHD and it took me over an hour to finish it because I kept going out of the tab to do other things, so maybe that was the true test

That's good atleast! I'm not good with managing charging so I kinda have to be more gentle with the battery ones pfft

Oh man, breaking a tablet pen that way sounds so frustrating.
Also, abt your description, my input as someone on the spectrum is that I'd still call that stimming! I know the term's usually associated with autism, but it's not JUST an autism thing, really, just that intense/very regular stimming is a big autism symptom. And like how plenty of people really feel the need to tap their legs whenever they're sitting still, I've always considered that stimming too o:

It is when you mess up its casing and it stops working hehehe. This one still works atleast!
Ohh okay! Thanks, I was really worried about getting that wrong or something. I guess stim quite a bit then, I wonder if that's something I should look intoΒ

geez how hard do you squeeze em to get em broken like that lolΒ
and what the heck I gotta do to get you to squeeze me like that haha jk

The pen is powered by a battery and you twist-screw it closed. I hold it where it opens/closes and me involuntarily squeezing causes the casing to split until I squeeze too hard and it bursts the casing
In the context of doing that to you, I'd squeeze your arm so hard your bones left your skin. I'd rather I didn't do that hahaha

Ah that makes more sense. My pen isnβt battery powered so it doesnβt have an opening like that. I was wondering because some tablet pens are pretty firm and would be hard to break.
Also in that case, you must squeeze me gently then with your lovely hands.
