Description So I thought I'd join in on this meme I've seen going around. So this is mostly what (and who) has specifically influenced me as an artist, though there's a couple on there that are more general. The Wizard of Oz for instance, is pretty much solely responsible for my love of movies, something that permeates every aspect of my life, not the least of which is my art. Hellraiser (actually, more Hellraiser II than the original) is responsible for my eternal fascination with horror movies, as it was the scariest movie I saw as a kid. The aesthetics of the other movies I've noted have been an influence (particularly Batman), but again, they've influenced my tastes and personality more than my art specifically.

And the Batman animated series probably influenced me more as a writer than an artist. I love Bruce Timm's style, but I can't really say any of his influence translates over to my art. Paul Dini's writing does, especially as it concerns character development. So that definitely factors into my art, if that makes sense at all.

There are other people I admire that I could've included (Quentin Tarantino, Charles Darwin, Clint Eastwood, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, et al.) but I honestly couldn't say how much influence they've had on me thus far, since I don't feel like I've accomplished enough in my writing or art career. We'll see down the road...
